Representative engagements

Local government

Local Government Reorganisation

Situation
Predecessor authorities preparing to form a new council needed a shared view of their technology before decisions about the future estate could be made.
What we did
We designed and ran a technology landscape assessment covering core and statutory service areas, line-of-business systems, Microsoft 365 tenants, identity, and Cyber Essentials status, with a common capture template and criticality rating so every authority described its estate the same way.
Result
A single, comparable baseline the programme could plan against, with identity and tenant decisions surfaced early rather than discovered close to vesting day.

Hospitality

Microsoft 365 tenant merger

Situation
Following an acquisition, two organisations were running separate Microsoft 365 tenants with different identity, mail and collaboration arrangements.
What we did
We planned and delivered the consolidation into one tenant: identity mapping, mailbox and OneDrive migration, SharePoint and Teams restructuring, licensing alignment and a communications plan for staff.
Result
One tenant, one identity per person and one way of working, delivered with planned cutovers rather than a disruptive big-bang move.

Housing association

Active Directory modernisation

Situation
As part of a merger programme, a housing association inherited Active Directory environments built up over many years, with inconsistent structure, stale accounts and broad administrative rights.
What we did
We assessed and redesigned the directory, cleaned up accounts and groups, reduced privileged access and prepared the hybrid identity foundation for Entra ID and Conditional Access.
Result
A directory that reflects the merged organisation, with access that is deliberate, documented and ready for the cloud identity work that follows.

Certification

Cyber Essentials remediation

Situation
An organisation needed to achieve certification against a deadline, and an initial review showed gaps across devices, patching, administrative accounts and firewall configuration.
What we did
We prioritised the gaps against the scheme requirements, remediated them using Intune, Defender and Conditional Access where possible, and prepared the evidence for assessment.
Result
Certification achieved, with the controls built into day-to-day operation rather than applied once for the assessment.

Hybrid infrastructure

Azure Local deployment

Situation
A client needed modern infrastructure for workloads that had to remain on premises, while still being managed alongside its Azure estate.
What we did
We designed and deployed Azure Local, integrated it with Azure management and monitoring, and documented the operating model for the client's own team.
Result
On-premises capacity managed through the same Azure tooling as the rest of the estate, with a clear handover to the people running it.

Construction

Procore and Sage 200 due diligence

Situation
A construction firm was evaluating Procore but had no way to tell whether it would integrate with Sage 200 before committing to the contract.
What we did
We assessed Procore's API, mapped the data flows to Sage 200 and the client's existing workflow tools, and produced a vendor requirements document for the integration developer.
Result
Integration commitments were negotiated into the contract before signing, protecting the client from costly surprises after implementation.

Professional services

Power Apps procurement workflow

Situation
Purchase approvals were handled entirely by email across several departments, causing delays, lost approvals and no audit trail.
What we did
We designed and built a Power Apps and Dataverse procurement workflow with multi-stage approval, Teams notifications and full audit logging, within the client's existing Microsoft 365 licensing.
Result
Faster approvals, a complete audit trail, and no additional licensing cost.
